RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!
I heard the new jet has the turn mod done from the factory. Anyone know if the tx is compatable with the rest of the Ace line?

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!
Thanks Tim. I got some from BSD. He said he thought they were the right ones. They are Didel MK06-4.5. I tried one to replace the one I destroyed trying to adapt it to another plane. When I turned the Rx on the motor started running without any command from the Tx.
I guess I must have messed up something in the Rx board. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement Rx board? I have another air hog single wing that flies pretty well so I hate to tear it apart to get the Rx to experiment with.

I was looking around and saw a plane that looks just like the air hog bi-plane. The controller looked different but it looked like the same plane. Is anyone familiar with this. HTTP://www.nitrorcx.com/indoorflight.html

Do you have parts for them. Like receivers? I have one of the bi-planes that I was going to use the guts for other experiments and somehow must have messed up one of the motor drivers.

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!
My friend and I had a great time with our aero aces yesterday evening... they can get EXTREMELY high for their size. The limitation seems to be radio range and visibility.

Its called the Air hogs Switchblade. Walmart carries it for 64.99. A little steep i think, i might get one if it goes below 50.

From the review I just read I will take a pass. When the reviewer is trying to like it and uses phrases like hard to control and needs plenty of space, and this is the killer, lot's of patience.
If I have lots of space I have some smokin' planes for that. Just my thoughts.

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!
I am sitting here about to do a quick fix on a T-Rex 450 after flying a couple of great PZ planes on a DX7 and flew the heli on an Eclipse 7, which is by secondary 72mghz tx. All of this grew from a desire to fly rc, and a seemingly simple foam bipe. There are just a relative few products that can jump start an existing paradigm. It is my belief that the AeroAce and those that moved forward for more channels created enough of a demand that Horizon Hobbies now has 3 micro helis, one of which is not a co -axial platform, and no less than 9 known micro planes, most of which are in dsm2.
I just want to thank all of you. I posted a flight report earlier that said "the Micro Revolution is here", it is and it seems that Horizon Hobbies is doing the catering. And the folks that got the ball rolling were the folks of this thread, so once again thanks to each and every one of you.
OK, I have a heli to fix. Did I mention that this is my first big heli experience?

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!
I was thinking about this just the other day. I remember when i got this little bipe. It was the coolest thing ever and then i found this forum. The people here were soooo nice and helpful that it allowed this little plane to spur my passion for rc flight. Here it is today, 2+years later and im a fairly good 3-d pilot i just got my first cp heli, Its a double brushless 4g3. I never once thought id be flying something as advanced as this and it all started with that beautiful little bi-plane. I wish to thank you Tim and everyone else here as well for making this small toy turn into a full blown addiction
