Default Sky A-40 and Sky F-727

Hi All,

I am a noob to the RC flying and my hanger consists of an AeroAce and the Sky F-727. I have flown the AA several times and love it. I recently discovered the Sky A-40 and Sky F-727 on ebay and ordered a couple for a friend of mine and myself. These two planes are the same plane with the A-40 being yellow and the Sky F-727 being red. I bought these for $26 each (including shipping) on ebay. I haven't flown the Sky F-727 as yet as the wind has been a bit stiff and this plane looks like it is more fragile than the AA. It looks like it will be a good flyer but only runs for about 3 minutes. It charges from the TX in 5 min.

I have also discovered the "Super Sonic" that sells on ebay for the same money is the same fuse and wing...but has a smaller horizontal only 1 speed .....comes with a 4.8 volt pack for the plane and doesn't come with the rechargable batteries and charger for the TX.

Specs: for A-40 and F-727

Wing Span: 19 inches
Length: 16 inches
2 Channel ..differential thrust (like the AA) and 2 speed throttle (cruise and climb)
8 rechargeable batteries for the TX and a charger
Tricycle langing gear
6volt NiMh battery pack for the plane
2 extra props

All in all a very impressive package for $26 delivered.

I would like to know if anyone has any experience with the plane and would like to share any modifications or just stories about how good or bad this plane has flown for them.

It looks good on the shelf if nothing else.

Here is a link to the package that I bought.

Cute. Like the trike gear. Almost looks like a toy.....

I'm not too enthusiastic about the differental thrust thing, I've never had much luck with that. Definitely a "no wind" type flier.

Good luck!
