for those looking for these heli's, hobbypeople.net has them along with All E Rc. Both are very respectable sites and their prices are cheaper then what you will pay retail in any store, not counting shipping.

The ones at all e rc are fakes. As are the ones at hobby-estore.com. I'm not saying they won't fly, just that there were a bunch of unhappy people with those at christmas. Tim

Wally world version from AH.. The Havoc
oh modded a lot for weight... no need for a tooth pick in this one

With that little weight, I think you are only going to be able to fly in the "chatter zone"....You'll see.
Looks cool though.

RE: PiccoZ Micro R/C heli
seth, your nekkid heli may not work out well. The motor will ceate a magnetic field around it. The field will attract dust, hairs, etc. If the motor is happy the gearing will also pick up crud. I'm assuming you have no pets and have marble floors that are polished daily. BTW, having anyone with hair could also be a problem. It's your heli, but I would strongly recommend rethinking your plan.

Dave, you could try my buddies fix instead(I knew I forgot something at the market today). He took three sewing pins, the ones with a bead on one end. He put one in each wing and one one the centerline beneath the battery. By adjusting these pins in or out, he trimmed his heli to near 3 channel performance.
Tim
I did not word the centerline part well. The pin goes in the nose, on the center line, bead forward, below the battery. On the wing the bead is also pointing forward. Tim

RE: PiccoZ Micro R/C heli
Hey, this little toy is quite addicting, I purchased the "palmsized micro copter" off thinkgeek and they shipped a "vespid-2" another knock off, according to Silverlit's
webpage. Check out this link.. http://www.marketwire.com/mw/release...ease_id=213994
I guess the actual silverlit orig was marketed in US as "Spinmaster Airhog Havoc"? and is supposed to be superior to its pirated copies.
I found em here http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/653008.asp
anyway, my vespid 2 stopped working, i separated it's two halves and re-saudered a broken wire off the battery, and "walla" it works again,
an obvious sign of its abuse, but its still flying after a week of me crashing it all over the home and work.

Zoil, and anyone else, if you want to fly a naked design please remember that you are creating a magnetic field around the motor. You will attract dust etc quickly. Good
Luck, Tim

A resolution for that would be to encapsulate the motor assembly with the bag material a circuit board would come in. Not pretty but keeps the lines of flux near the motor.
