I seen this advertised in Backyard Flyer and was wondering the same thing.
The price is higher than what I thought it would be.
I didn't see this at TrU the other day but they did have the Cosmic Flyer on
sale. The problem is with some of these planes is you haven't heard enough
about them yet so you pass on em- then when you want one you can't find em.

The price seems a little high. My dad just said my LHS has them so I might have to go check them out, but don't think I will be buying one as the price is a little high, I could get another micro cessna for $20 more.

I bought one of these about a week ago. I paid $60 and am very satisfied with it. It does have a couple of flaws though.
1. Megatech doesn't sell any replacement parts.
2. It has an infrared Tx/Rx, so if you fly outside during the day, you will get an unbelievable amount of interference.
3. No wind.... period.
Overall, it is a very neat plane. It really will fly in almost any indoor space and flies well outside. It flies with it's nose pitched up at about 20 degrees, but flies very stable.

from what i've read, the avion is a bit better than silverlits palmz. the palmz doesnt steer w/o throttle, like the AAs (which i was totally blown away by...maybe they dont read these forums afterall!), and it sounded like the throttle was like the AS, only a few steps, rudder was bang bang. the avion is supposed to be proportional on both channels though, and it'll steer w/o throttle.
what i dont understand is how two differant LRFs could come out, by two differant companies, and both end up with weighs around 7-9 grams when the lowely AS is around 4g, even with a lipo. i'd much rather have a properly trimmed 4 gram LRF than a bloated LRF thats stuck flying in a nose up state. maybe thats just me though.
there's a couple threads on it over on RCG i believe.

It's a great little plane. there are already a coouple of threads that talk about it. most places online have it in the $50-$60 range. It's a bit fast for flying in a normal house but would be perfect for a gym. There are two models, the small IR Avion, and the RF Avion io which is a good bit bigger. If you get the IR model, you must have absolutely NO wind outside to fly it (It's only 8.4 grams) and it has to be fairly dark. It's IR so if it's very light outside, the light interferes with the transmitter and you won't be able to fly it. I fly mine in the last 20 minutes or so before dark after the sun has set. The RF model is a bit bigger and slightly faster, but with RF, there isn't the interference from the light. Megatech and many hobby shops DO sell replacement parts. It's so easy and fun to fly though I can't imagine anyone crashing it.
