Default Parkzone Cessna 210 problem

Well I was flying my Parkzone Cessna 210 this morning and brought it in for a landing. After getting it on the ground, I noticed that the rudder was not moving. So I opened it up and saw that the gear on the rudder servo motor was not meeting up with the gear that actuates the rudder rod. So I went to push on the gear a bit to move it forward to meet up with the acutator gear and it popped off! So of course I have no idea where it went. Its as small as a pin head, so the chances of finding it are slim to none. I called Parkzone to see if I could just get the gear for the servo, and they told me that they don't sell those small gears seperately. I'm not happy to say the least! If I want to replace a $.10 gear, I have to pay over $50 for an entire reciever assembly? That to me is BS! Anyone have any ideas, or a parts plane laying around they don't mind selling one from?

Default RE: Parkzone Cessna 210 problem

There's a seller on eBay named Hobb-e-mart that is a factory repair facility or returns vendor or something like that for a lot of the RC manufacturers and regularly sells returns/parts items/non-working RC/factory seconds, etc. and the have 210's out there occasionally. They may have a single one or a lot of 10, you never know. I have bought two boats and a plane from them and have had no problems with the transactions. There are some 210s out there now. Look in RC planes instead of plane parts. You may wind up spending the same amount of money, but you'd get an entire parts plane instead of a single part, and that's a better value. Good luck!
