Multiple Vapors flying
We fly in a church gym. Sometimes there is 7-8 flying at the same time. Naturally they get tangled sometimes and go down togather. Sometimes we discover that we are flying the wrong plane while our plane is sitting on the floor somewhere. Great Fun!!
Couple of things I have learned:
1 Don't fly with a CX Heli. The heli Wins every time. They will compete well with a MCX though.
2 Tears in the wings can be repaired with tape. Most guys take a roll of tape with them.
3 Wings can be recovered with saran wrap or cling wrap.
4 Almost everything can be repaired with CA. Use a tiny piece of paper towel or toilet paper to wrap the part and use a drop of
CA and shot of Accelerator.

RE: Multiple Vapors flying
We picked up a Vapor too at E-fest this year...incredible!
I don't like the colors is my only beef. wondered about using transparent monokote or similar and not shrinking it. Think that would work? I know its heavier than the coveringit comes with, but I cant imagine it would hurt performance too much . What do you guys think?

RE: Multiple Vapors flying
I agree about the colors of the Vapor. With my old eyes flying in the evening outside in the shadows and against trees and such background the Vapor seems to just "blend in". Needs some bright reds, yellows or oranges instead of the greens and blacks....
Some guys on forums have recovered them with the colored Reynolds Wrap and another had recovered in the old FF tissue way and have come out lighter than stock. Might give the wrap a shot before summer backyard flying season hits!!!!

RE: Multiple Vapors flying
We fly multiple Vapors at a local gym. We've had one eaten alive by a Blade 400 and several MCX strikes with a little damage. as said scotch tape takes care of most repairs. My elevator got into an MCX so it's taped up now.
I've been thinking about recovering mine and have thought about the colored saran wrap as well. But I thought I'd mention also that the covering on these seems to be mylar, so I was thinking of getting a mylar balloon and using that material to cover it. I've found some solid color balloons that would do nice and the insides all seem to be silver/chrome. The only thing I've not decided on yet is what to use to glue it onto the carbon frame. Possibly canopy glue or silicon very thinly applied.
Does this sound feasible to anyone else?

We had a club meeting at a friends warehouse last week. One of the guys showed up with a Vapor. It was so much fun there's 4 or 5 owned now, Races this weekend at the warehouse stay tuned. We also had a fatality due to a mid air with a CX 2 pretty funny bit a cheap repair. Mike

I agree Mike and I love flying my Vapors as much as flying the Trex's which I'am sure you feel the same. Once you get the little critter mastered, you can just snip off the landing gear and hand launch it, and then coast it in towards yourself for a nice smooth catch. That will put a big smile on the boys' faces flying in the warehouse ! LMAO.....
