My wife got me a 49Mhz R/C Blimp for my birthday. With all the RC aircraft I'm trying to fly, it didn't hold my attention for long. Tried to give it to friends and they said it would knock stuff over in their house. Has anyone tried mounting the little motors/props and electronics in a small indoor or windless day flyer ? The whole flight pack including the motors weighs about 3oz.

I have one of those! It's the 2 channel one though-but I bet it would work great in a walmart foamie.
just remember when you're flying these things that you have to make the actuators yourself, it does'nt have an ESC, and none of the channels are proportional.
That said, I tried one recently, and it died.
Try a small R/C hovercraft with it instead-with a LPS and a EDF 3 or 5 bladed prop on one LiPoly for the whole thing, it should run like a charm.
that's what I intend to do, anyway....

i used to have one, it was a 3 channel version and it didnt last to long. i recently found a use for the motors/props in a light wieght experiamental scratch built stick and tissue. it weights about 70gms or about 2.5oz. with a 3v lithium photo battery. im still playing around with it and trying different things. the wing is about 8 gms and the fuse is about 5-6 grams. just some info for you.
