I apologize. C channel is better, but A is the worst. I have not seen an Ace in years. Enjoy your Plane

OK Aero Ace lovers, I just listed my very last NIB (sealed box) original Aero Ace Bi-plane that I am willing to sell on Ebay. This is an Orange "C" frequency model that has never been out of the box. If you have always wanted an AA Bi-plane here is your chance.

Best wishes to everyone on RCU and Merry Christmas! May you all receive tons of RC stuff under the tree this year!

ORIGINAL: darticus

I still have stock on the Airhog bi planes and soon putting them up for sale. Hate shipping single planes. Ron
Still have many of original planes. Wondered where I might be best selling them. Thanks Ron

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Don't know if anybody still visits here but I still "play" with these things. Mostly as parts source for some scratch-built stuff. Did a T-38 that flew way too well. Couldn't keep it out of the rafters in the WW2 hanger wefly in. Next was a B-58 Hustler. The first couple of flights were good but it began to be hard to turn. Too many vertical surfaces acting as stabilizers.

The latest, though not strictly aero ace powered (it uses the variable thrust systems from two mini storm launchers, one as inboard motors, the second on the outboards.) It hasen't been flown or decorated yet but I hope you cantell what it is.

Fun fun fun...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Do I win for the first video surveillance Aero Ace?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WeMK1fOh1k

I tried mounting the camera – a key fob video camera from ebay for $10 - on the original jet and was almost able to maintain elevation. I tried again on my Turbo Air Surfer flying wing with AA guts. On this rig, I get positive lift, but it’s not rising all that fast. The weight of the camera is 10 grams – about the same as 2 nickels with the case removed.

There is one big problem in that the camera seems to interfere with the radio reception. All control cuts out after maybe 10 seconds. It is a little strange, because it seems not to be a function of distance from the t/x as much as just a function of elapsed run time, because even when I am circling at close range, it still kills out. Flying the plane with the camera turned off seems to solve that problem, but doesn’t produce much in the way of video results.

Does anyone have any recommendations for shielding the radio from the camera interference?
