Beginner Question
 

Hello,

I used to fly gas powered RC planes when I was a kid; I have been away for a while and I have just graduated college. (Mechanical Engineering) Now that I have some time on my hands I am going to start designing/building/flying the smallest things I can.

Do any of you have any suggestions on reference materials, software packages, suppliers etc...? I have a limited aerodynamics background - for example, I have not figured out what the weight/wing area ratio needs to be or what airfoil shapes are best or what types of props/motors/gear boxes/batt combos are best - and so on and so forth.
