Anyone else experiencing this?
Everytime I fly this plane and someone is watching in between charges someone tells me they want to buy one! It's to bad that the local Wal-Mart doesn't have that many in stock. If they did we would have alot of people flying these! Also the guy that owns the lhs bought one and said that there are a few people now that are gonna have dog fights with them! My question is will these hold up to that? A friend of mine has one of these too and I was at his house yesterday and we were flying them and a bunch of purple martins were chasing after us and swooping at us and took up down a few times! So I know they are tough but will the propellers do and damage in a dog fight? If not I wanna get in on this! Well the plane just got done on the charger I'm going flying!!!

I believe you're talking about the AA. Not sure why it's so popular
in some places more than others. At my local Target the same 3 AA's (along with the F16) have been sitting on the shelf for 3 weeks. Might be because they're waiting for the new AA's and the jet. Who knows. As for dog fighting. The plane can take some abuse and still hold up. But anytime you do something like this, there's bound to be a plane that gets messed up. Brake a prop and then what? Haven't seen anyone who sells just props. I believe the plane would fly better with the motors mounted on the leading edge but I think the manufacturers mounted them in back to keep the props from breaking in a crash. Hence less returns. Dog fighting might change all that. |

ORIGINAL: rc18t145 i'm going to convert my aero ace to a 1 motor aero ace. it will be in the front, and maybe 3 channel. but thats inthe future cause right i'm working on other stuff. the motor and be left with a useless AA. I think the original AA motors are a bit under powered for a 3 channel anyway. If you're going to use a servo you will be adding more weight. The AA weighs about 20 grams. The RX and motors weigh 10 grams so you only have about 10 - 15 grams to play with. One AA motor would have a tough time pulling 25 grams. |

RE: Anyone else experiencing this?
How will you make the aa rx 3 channels? Or will you use the rx from the Bladerunner helicopter?
