Guillows cessna 150
 

Hey guys, I am building a small 26 inch wing span cessna 150.
It shows it can use a rubber band. or a .049 cox nitro motor

I want to do it electric. its larger then it seems to me
I wanted to know what brushless motor would be good and what KV rating for 2s lipo?
and size of prop
Here is the motor i think should work but might be to much ? it will fit it in the nose of the plane, then i have 2 HS55 servos for it along with a Hi tech micro receiver.
as for the battery i was thinking a 500 Mah 2s should work.

What is the flying weight that you think you'll end up with?

Remember you only need roughly 50 watts per pound in the class it looks like this plane falls within. The specs on the motor you gave are fine with roughly 100 watts and 9 or so ounces of thrust. But, try and estimate the flying weight first then go back and recalculate your needs.

the finished weight of the plane i believe would be 4 Ounces
then the batteries and all the other stuff
the motor, battery, receiver, and two servos will weigh about 4 Oz as well
so a total of 8, give or take.
