Now, please let me take the time to direct my efforts back to Chad. So, I see you're in the mood to play a little "hardball"! Chad, are you prepared to explain your trafficking of pattern planes, motors, controllers, etc FOR PROFIT/RESELL to the Canadian Revenue Agency? You know the equipment I'm talking about, the stuff you conveniently failed to declare via documentation when you brought the equipment into the U.S. across our Northern border. Then, let's see how many of your Team members and sponsors will come running to your defense! You, my friend, are about to learn a life lesson. Chad, there's hardball and then there's REAL HARDBALL in the big leagues! I wish you and your little buddies there in California good luck including the "other" self appointed internet psychiatrist who felt the urge to take another cheap shot. Does it ever end? NO! Speaking of medications, Doug, perhaps you should consider having your physician prescribe some growth hormones. Hopefully, this will alleviate the stresses of the "short-man syndrome" you suffer from and hopefully it just might raise you above your current status as that of a "mental midget"! Let me add, like the Presidential candidate Gov. Rick Perry, I may not do very well in an open debate situation BUT, I'm hell one on one! OK boys, pile on! Everette

Gentlemen, for those of you observing this unfolding saga, please note that I purposely responded at approx 4:30 CST this morning so that my last response would get a head start. Full well knowing that every effort would be made later today to have this thread "sanitized and/or scrubbed". But, it's been 3 hours now and the exposure has been GREAT! Mission accomplished! I wish you all well, Everette

I did not see how the wing skins are attached either. But anyway, the set of pictures from RCONE website do demonstrate that a team of around 10 people and direct involvement of the designer can crank out nice pattern planes.

The built-up wings do not work well with military or civlian UAVs where extra strength and durability are critical. Just wonder how wings for UAVs are mass-produced. The making of composite wings is always interesting.

Extraline I noticed you used the Deps system and a pull pull rudder. I was thinking of a dual elevator servo arraingment and a pull pull centered mount servo for the rudder. Is there a specific reason for not mounting 2 elevator servos?
Andrew can you chime in and tell me what you used? Thanks, Mike

Mike (mups53), you know that I normally don't think much of ARF'S because of their past history. But, for once, this Nuance has even me excited! After carefully examining the above pictures and watching BJ Park's video, I'm impressed. Like you and Andrew said, if one takes the time to equip this plane with the "proper motor, esc, servos and batteries, I can see where you could have a really 1st class pattern plane that weighs less than 10 1/4 lbs (AUW) and it won't break your bank account in the process. Regards, Everette

That's kind of what I see Everette. I'm going to put the new Pletty Advance upfront. That motor really impressed me with it's raw power and efficiency.
I'm also going to building a plane this year with the help of Dave Snow's custom wings and stabs. I aquired a new Mystic fuse from Todd this week. It's 27 ounces with the canopy and chin cowl. The quality is really outstanding. Dave is developing a new Elipitical wing and if all works out well it will be on my new plane the "Mysteliptical". Dave has been working really hard to develop wings and stabs that will improve designs.
Here's a pic of the Mystic fuse. It has a 35" girth at the highest point. This is equal to the Spark Dynamic and the Nuance. All are fatboys or aswe call them "JINTT" planes. ( Junk in the trunk). Mike

Mike, what a coincidence! I just finished my new Mystic and flew it for the first time Friday a week ago. I think I wrote about it in another thread somewhere around here. Anyway, I powered it with a Neu/F3A motor and CC HV80 V2 esc. Depending on which battery and prop combination I use, it has an AUW from 10 lbs 1 oz to 10 lbs 4 oz (with F3A Unlimited batteries) I never knew what a 10 lb 2m pattern flew like until now. As far as I'm concerned, if it weighs more than approx 10 1/4 lbs, I can't use it. If I wasn't sick in bed with the flu, I'd be out there flying it right now! Talk about a quality kit, this kit was a pleasure to build and would not hesistate building another one. Todd has his QC dialed in and is in the same class as Dave Snow___1ST! BTW, did I to tell you about how it rolls? OMG...................Mike, you are going to absolutely love it! Regards, Everette

Hey that's great I've never had a plane under 10.75 lbs. I'd have to really blow it on this plane to come out over 10.25. It looks like a winner to me. Glad to hear yours is working well. Mike

With the mission accomplished was 0430 CST the time of rendezvous with the mothership that has been hiding/lurking behind the full moon for the last few nights? If it was I missed it.......again!

BTW the Nuance looks fantastic. should be a best seller!!

Extraline..

Nice plane first off! I'm guessing it's not standard for the elevators to be one servo in the fuse, instead of 2 in the tail? Looks like you changed that. I like that idea. How did the cg come out by doing this?

Thanks!

Chris

Chris,
I built the one Chris is using to demo. The elevators come set up for servos in each half. Even has a jig that comes with the kit to get the correct opening size in the elevator for the servo arm. A lot of thought went into the building of the plane. Wing and stab covering is done very well. No wrinkles.

Sorry Everette, I have no clue what you are talking about, this time your nonsensical drivel has my guru like mind overwhelmed.

I will have to fall back on the only lesson I know that applies this situation, and that would be "never argue with an idiot, they will only bring you to their level and beat you with experience"

I concede Everette, you have beaten me!

Chad, I can dig you getting upset.. haha

I don't hardly come on RCU because of the posts by Everette. Every thread including this one, which is about a great plane, at a great weight, for a great price, has to be a problem for him. There's always something. It's unfortunate for the sport really. And RCU! The threads are supposed to remain RC, not have politics, flaming, defamation, or harassment. We've all watched him do it over and over.. RCU does nothing about his posts. It amazes me.

Not trying to get the last word. You can have RCU back now.. Complain away.. lol

Can you squabblers keep it to private emails? Keep your dirty laundry out of these forums. If I want to read this nonsense I’ll pay attention to the political rhetoric. It’s uncomfortable and degrading to witness.

It appears a number of people on this forum have an issue with a certain individual. My suggestion is to lodge a complaint to the RCU Administrator and leave it in their hands. Otherwise, you can turn on the block feature. I will be turning mine back on again. Adios!
