HiMax 6330-200 ESC settings
Hi All,
I have another thread going about my prop adapter, but since many have helped me with the HiMax, I would like to start a new question thread. I am running the HiMax 6330-200 with a CC 80HV speed control. My setup will be 10S 5000 ( 2 5S 5000 packs in series) and I am running the reccomended Falcon 20.5 X 14.5 prop. I am an experienced flyer, but new to apttern, so I will only be running basic and intermediate types of flight,b ut really mostly practicing round loops, axial turns, etc. The plane is a Black Magic V3.
I am wondering what CC setups in terms of timing advance, brake type and amount, etc. you guys are running for this motor
Thanks to all again for the help!
Joe

This is what I used. Great motor as long as you are not to heavy.

Only one comment on the brake; 40% brake sometimes may hear squeal noise when pull out from idle dive (not every time that puzzled me). I found 30% works better. never hear the squeal noise again, brake effect looks the same as 40%. Also, the brake delay and brake ramp settings are insensitive when using 30% brake.
Hope this will help.

Joe,
Always use lowest timing and the lowest frequency available or "outrunner" mode with the large outrunners and the Castle controllers. And with any controller, use fixed endpoints as well to get a consistent throttle feel.
