Hey guys, just wondering if you can help me, not sure if it's a problem or not, but I thought it's probably a good idea to ask.

At the last comp, I was flying my Mythos 125E, with a Hacker A60-5S in the front, and at a certain rev the motor sounded like it was grumbling. It only did it at one particular throttle setting which was a little over half.

Anyone else experienced this?

I'm running an OS OVH1100 ESC for reference.

Your hacker motor is 28 poles, and the 8 khz setting, the OS/futaba 1100 Esc will not work with that motor

Hey Rendegade, just a quick one...don't want to hijack your thread...but i just wanted to say thanks again for saving my plane from the LiPo fire on Sun! Could've been so much worse. As it is I've cleaned it up and redone all the wiring that needed fixing, and tested it with my remaining three packs today...all good!

FWIW to those chiming in on this issue, the motor and plane performed exceptionally well. Looked great in the air...it was just a minor note that happened at only one spot in the throttle curve.

I too have the Hacker A60-5S 28 pole motor in a Mythos with the OS 1100 HV ESC - I know there have been problems with the Hacker Q80 series 28 pole motors with this ESC, however, mine seems OK with the A60-5S BUT I did have to change the timing from 25° (Hacker spec) to 22° (23° also OK) - at 25° I got the grumbling sound - loss of sync - at about 2/3 throttle. Ran APCe 20x11 - 2550W & currently running PT 20x12 - 2650W. Zippy Compact 8S 25C batteries.
