Default LIFE Battery Size

I'm working on assembling a SebArt Mythos 50E and have decided that I will use a dedicated receiver battery instead of the BEC on the ESC. I'm thinking of a 1500Mah 2S LIFE pack. The servos are Hitec, three HS-77B & two HS-5245MG. I'd like to be able to get 3-4 flights before having to recharge and was wondering if 1500Mah will give me that? The 1500 pack is considerably lighter than the next size up, a 2200.

I use two 700ma. LiFe packs in parallel (1,400 ma) in my 2 meter pattern ships, and can easily get 10 full flights.

Great! Thanks for the reply. I just ordered three 1500 packs.

Since you already have a BEC "for free", have you considered running the BEC as primary and the battery as secondary/backup device?
There are lots of ways to wire this and provide isolation between the 2 power sources, the simplest method is a Jeti DSM-ESC.
Saves a bit of weight over 2 batteries, if that is a concern

1500mah should be more than enough. I use 900mah life on 2 of my planes . Each have 4 standard servos. I can do 10 flights with no problem.

On my Divergent I run a 850 mah 7.4V lipo with 7 digital high voltage servos and easily get 6 flights. Average run through the advanced sequence uses 75 to 80 ma. The electrics consume far less servo power then glow power due to the reduced vibration. IMO anything larger then 1000 mah is just dead weight.

Thanks for all the comments guys! I ordered the 1500 pack but I might switch to a 700 at some point to save a little weight.
