The New F3AUnlimited Nuance G2 2 Meter ARF
#1

Is anyone planning to build the new BJ Park Nuance G2 ARF?
F3AUnlimited just received stock of them today.
I ordered one today.
Would like to see some build pics, since ya'll have built these type of ARFs before.
Cheers

Just started my build today, Spent 3 hours yesterday reviewing the forums to get a understanding of what to and not to do.
Looks to be fairly simple build. Installing a contra drive in this bird.
Good luck with your build

Hi, dw
Thanks for the reply.
Just received mine today. Was amazed at the lightness of the crate. Motor and accessories in a separate package
to avoid damage to the airframe. Excellent.
Had David Snow perform the HiMax 3300 motor mount installation, as I couldn't find a sequence of clear pics as a guide.
David sent such a pic sequence so after soldering the motor connector, motor re-installation will be a snap.
Am using using the HiMax 3300 single drive arrangement with a Falcon 3-blade, 19x13.5" prop with a Kontronik
Jive Pro 120+ Pro ESC.
Already had the Jive Pro +, so I had all the necessary tools and direct knowledge to upgrade it's software and to program it.
Are you planning to use the Emcotec arming switch?
Good luck with your build, too...…..Please keep us posted.
Cheers

But, here is a question that I haven't seen an answer to:
How and what does one use to keep the long servo leads from the servos mounted under the horizontal stab
from flapping around in flight?
How does one reach back down the length of the fuselage aft section?

I make a cardboard tube by wrapping strips of paper bags around a broom handle. using contact cement to glue them together.
I then install it by using some 1/16th to 3/32 balsa straps that I drill a hole in for the tub, then glue them to the tube and formers at the back and front.
Then feed the servo leads through it.

Hi, Bill
Sounds like a good idea.
Am using 2 elevator servos and 1 rudder servo.
If, when feeding the connectors thru, I can minimize the tube diameter to lighten the weight.
Cheers
