F3A Noob question here but what is the advantage of running a belt drive as opposed to a direct drive outrunner setup? I am looking to get back into pattern after being out for 25 years. I will start slow and just hit a few competitions this year. I have a 2m AJ Acuity on order which is set for delivery this spring. It is, of course, designed for a direct drive outrunner which is what I plan to use but I was still curious as I noticed many of these state of the art machines are belt driven.
