Interesting...... I have a 4900 but thought it might be too heavy so have been running the 3700's instead. Do you 3d yours with that battery?

Absolutely not!
Adequate power is, for example, this one that I use: TGY AerodriveXp 90 SK Series 50-65 380Kv / 1820w
with a 6 cell 4900mah apc 17x10

My Miss Wind is ready, the only things left to do is to set the CG and program the radio. I am using JR9303 and it doesnt have a bipe mode so I had ordered Y cables, but luckily I have just stumbled upon this:
ORIGINAL: AWorrest
When you are referring to having four aileron servos, if you mean one servo per aileron, the 9303 is very capable of handling it. Simply set the wing to normal. Mate an inhibited channel to aileron and mate another inhibited channel to flap. Then use two or three program mixes. One to mix aileron into FROL. A second to mix RTRM into FROL. If you want the right trim switch to trim both sets of ailerons, use a third mix and mix RTRM into AILE.
If you mean having two servos per aileron, then there seems to be no way of intrinsically matching the movements of the servos in the ganged pair. The 12X has this additional function. But you should expect the 12X to have more features. After all it costs about twice the price of the 9303 and only has one-third more channels.

I will try this later this week and post my result.

Mine is ready to fly too! I took it out to the field today as the weather was perfect, only 2/3 mph of wind and around 18oC. I set everything up and turned on my Futaba 14MZ, pressed the screen "Yes" prompt to transmit, nothing happened!, pressed a bit harder and the screen cracked![:@] The "Yes" prompt has been getting harder to operate on the touch screen for some time and I understand it is a fault on early 14MZ's. So, packed it up and back to Futaba for a £200 new screen!
BTW the 4 servo wing setup on the 14MZ is very simply, just designate the top wing ailerons as aileron 3 and 4 and assign the J1 stick and T1 trim to these channels and you are done, individual sub trims and ATV's for all four ailerons.Loved the MZ until today!

I have the recommended Hacker A50-16S in mine and with 6S 3700 Rhino. It flys pattern sequences very well with plenty of power for any style. I don't do 3D stuff anyway so I don't have an opinion on how it does that.
This plane is considerably smaller than a 110 size plane. I think the E-Flite Power 110 and an 8s setup would be big overkill and probably a chore to install. An Axi 4130 on 6S would be a better setup I think but it will still require some carving and gluing work installing I'd think whereas the Hacker is just a bolt in.

Hello all,
I've spent a few nights researching the miss wind and am very interested. If I wanted to purchase a new kit, who handles them in the USA? Do any of you guys have a RTF for sale?
Regards,
John

I will have a miss wind in my hands in about 2 weeks and am at a loss with what batteries to use. This will be my first 6 cell aircraft but have used 2 and 3 cell LiPos in a couple of different helis and smaller airplanes.
I'm not a 3D guy or have a desire to fly competition (IMAC or FAI) but do like that style of flying. Call me a sport flyer who likes precision aerobatics. Having said that, which battery will best suit my needs? I've looked at prices from several suppliers and if possible, would prefer to use something like a HK Rhino ($89 , 4900 mah, 25C, 791 grms.) or maybe the Zippy ($47 5000 mah, 25C, 836 grms).
Will these work? Or, do I need to open my wallet wider and go for some of the other more popular brands that run $175-$200.

Got mine from F3AUnlimited today. Everything else should all be here by Friday.
Should make for an interesting weekend.
Going with JR3421SA's in the tail and HS85mg in the wings.
HackerA50-16 and a CC esc. 16x10 prop.
I've never cared for the tail wheel into the rudder post, anyone do a tiller arm style?
One thing I don't like so far is the screw in the battery cover. I might try to figure out some sort of quick release.
Perhaps magnets. Anyone try that yet?
One thing I got that I don't see on the plans/booklet nor any pictures.
There's two sheets of red plastic something , no idea what they are for yet. Somewhat tear dropped shaped.
