Default New GP50" Sequence Electric F3A ARF

New from Great Planes:

No reports yet on how it flies, etc. I've seen some of the other recent offers from GP in their 50-inch electric ARF category and they are very nice. Not due until June.

Silent-AV8R, this is the plane Tower Hobbies needs to bring out in a 2 meter version with a retail price of say $599.99! I can only imagine how many they could/would sell. Let us know when you get one. Hopefully you'll come back with some results in the future. Thanks & Regards____TNWalker

The video does not look impressive at all ... pilot?

TN ... Fliton Element 170 was meant for the 600 dollar market but they repriced it to about 750 now and you can hardly find any!

The Sequence is a nice looking model. I don't see how one coud get it flying for less than 500 bucks. Is this typical for a 50 inch electric?

If I use Bluebird servos, a Corona RX, and a BP battery with the Tower Combo deal I'm looking at over $600.00 with all of the extensions, etc. Well over this with Towers batt/servo/RX stuff. Seems like a pricey way to fly electrics with dad at the local electric field. I've got less in either of my glow powered SPA/BPA Pattern ships, one on a pipe with retracts. Is this typical?

Anyone have any helpful comments for a glow guy wanting a cool electric ship this size?

Thanks,
Chris...

Chris ... if you were to go with Hobby City stuff its cheaper. Turnigy motors for this size is reliable and their ESCs work fine.

Here's my Hobby City wish list for the GP Sequence:

Rhino 2150mAh 4S 14.8v 25C Lipoly Pack $24.62
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=9319

TR 42-50A 700kv Brushless Outrunner / 720W $25.95
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=2099

TP BSC n65A Speed Controller $27.54
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...eed_Controller

TURNIGY 3A UBEC w/ Noise Reduction $7.44
http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=4319

This is everything I need, less servos and extensions, for $85 bucks. I already have some Hitec HS-85mg's that should work fine in this plane. I will pick up a 3 extra batteries for a total of four.

Do they plan on releasing a larger verison of the Sequence for Glow/ Electric or is that just a bad rumor?

They won't because they can't make weight and have an airframe that will hold up for that price.
