RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
I just hope that there is a better and more elegant design for mounting the side force generators. I have a Wind 110 and decided to put the SFGs; it was a pain in the ass to get it lined up right. you just have to eye ball it. I had to hold the wings in front of a very bright light and then line up the SFG with the right rib and then glue it. Not to mention the hole that you have to drill on the leading edge. To protect the finish I did put a clear scotch tape over the wing and then glue the pieces on to the tape. In my case the pieces werewarped so I decided to remove it.
It is a shame for a bit pricey plane they have not marked the exact precise location for the SFG. They should make it removable like the ones in Passport.
Any ideas if it is the same deal with the new 2m Wind Pro?
thanks in advance.

Mike,
sorry, here is the right one http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9277256/tm.htm
It is on page 3 on the Pattern Flying.
From the pictures it seems that the landing gear is made so that it has shape of SFG, very nice solution.

Huison, my CF gear was about 40g lighter than my stock Wind110 gear - I think 101g total for the gear...and it looks pretty awesome!
Also, the CC Phoenix ICE HV80 is only 56.7g AND has data logging AND is less expensive than the HV85.
I think I just gained you a notch on your belt, ha ha

I hope you have noted that CC Phoenix ICE HV 80 56.7g weight is with no wire, weight with wire 105g.

I think CF gear is such a nice upgrade on these planes. It's unfortunate that they don't give you this when everything else is so nice. Only a $50 difference.
I opened the box of my Wind 110 and everything was SO nice, then I find these two hunks of heavy metal...what's with this? The CF knocked a few ounces off, looks so much better, and won't bend when you hit the rollers in the runway[&:]

Some of the F3a fliers around here are using the Castle HV85 without the heatsink
and they seem to be working troublefree. I understand you can order them from Castle
without the heatsink but it should be easy to remove it from one that does. The summer
temperature here in Texas gets plenty hot and I've never seen one give any problems,
just make sure it gets plenty of air flow. Should save considerable weight.

I bought a CC ICE 80 HV at the AMA show, price was too good not to give it a try. But, weight out of the package was 3.6 ounces, the Jeti 90 that had laying around was 3.8 ounces. The Wires used are heave 10 gauge and pretty long, think you might get it to 3.0 ounces if you don't need the long wires. The Jeti 77 I have weighed 2.5 or so with wires for comparison.

Does anyone know of a European shop that ships to the US and has a Pro in stock?
and,
Do the Castle HV contollers screech on startup like their smaller brethren?
Thanks,
JP

O.K. I'll own up to the fact that Chris and I are buddies so I know what his inventory levels are and his demand, and I know with his salesmanship skills those first Pros are already out the door so I was hoping to find an alternate source that has them now, but perhaps "patience" is the order of the day plus if I wait and order through Chris maybe he'll finally come up and fly with me at my field

There are no Wind S Pro planes in the US yet (from US sources). The first ones are in the container due to Esprit) at the end of Feb. There were none in the first shipment from last month.

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
I hear production of the Wind S Pro is currently 20 a month. Four of them come to our country per a month. We already have 10 of them. I ordered it 2 months ago and will get it next month. Back order seems to be around 80 so far in Japan.
