Default Ordered (well...pre-orderd) my AngelS Evo 50e

I normally fly turbines, but I've noticed that I've never spent the time to truly learn aerobatic flying, an F-15 isn't the model for that....and I wanted to go electric. I'm pretty excited to get it in the air, will probably be a few weeks. I was going to go with the recommended Hacker motor (or hobby city equivalent...if they ever get them back in stock). The thing I can't decide between is 4000 and 5000 6S batteries.

I'd appreciate any and all advice with the airframe, motor, batteries, etc.

Can't wait!

You don't need to go to 6S. I have an Angel S and an Extreme Flight Extra 300 setup with the the Extreme Flight Torque 4014T-570 both using 5S 5000 Lipos and they both have plenty enough power to fly an AMA Masters sequence.

Angel S setup: Torque 4014T-570, Castle HV85 controller, 15X10 APC prop (plane weight right around 6 lbs with 180 flights and counting)

Extreme Flight Extra 300: Torque 4014T-570, Airboss 80 Elite controller, 15X8 APC prop

Sideshow ... 6S would be perfect if you wanna prop hang. You can go 5 for F3A. If you are flying mainly F3A then 4,000 mAh packs will be enough on 6S. Enjoy her when she arrives!

My set up was:

Motor - Hyperion 4025-12
ESC - Turnigy 60A, 80A would be better
Batt - Rhino 20C 5S 4,900
Prop - 16x10 to 16x12 (80A please)

I called Esprit Hobbies and the shipment is delayed until late Nov. or early Dec. I have the batteries, motor, speedo and everything else....just need the airframe. Does anyone else know where these might be available? Maybe I should ask for a discount for the extra wait

people have been buying from [link=http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?Search=Yes&sppp=12]Sussex Model Ctr[/link] in England, with 4-day shipping. I just bought a plane from [link=http://www.swiftmodels.co.uk/wind-s-110e-pro-212-p.asp]Swift Models[/link] in England - $50 for overseas shipping and great low prices. I just placed the order and don't know how long it will take.

Apparently there's a shipping strike. I made my order last night only to get an email today saying that FedEx was the only option for a charge of a few hundred bucks.

Esprit model is in the US. I talked to them today, and they have 'a shipment on the water' and 'will be open by the end of the month'.

I reserved a plane with them today.
