1 Attachment(s)
We are proud to announce the NEW Dualsky pattern motors. We just received these 2 motors and the new mounting setups in our last order. We have 2 versions,
XM6355DA-12-Competition 222RPM/V 570g
XM6360DA-10-Competition 218RPM/V 653g

Dualsky has addressed many of the past problems with improved bearings and a general redesign. They also have a new mounting system as seen in the pictures.

Stats are posted in the PDF file.

RE: New Dualsky Pattern Motors! 6360

Dear friends;

I receive two samples of the new Dualsky XM6355DA begining of August and mount in my two Prestiges. I made some ground test with the APC20x13 with 73A and about 6.400rpm with limited maximum throttle. Then I start the test flight and with the Spin 99 and 20x13 PT Model and it measure maximum 55 Amp for 6.700rpm with a limited maximum throttle over 20% but power is much more than need and then I reduce maximum throttle to 25% for P11 schedule to a 48 Amp. I am very satisfied with the motor. I was test too a AXI 5325/24 and the Dualsky has the same power or more with the same current drawn and it is 62grs. lighter. Also the Dualsky design is focused to F3A models looking for the lowest weight, it is very easy to place a ball bearing and a mount for a two point assembly without increase the motor weight. The propeller hub is very light and efective. The motor axle is hollowed with a inside thread in the front for a spinner screw. It works very smooth with the Dualsky 90A HV controller and with the Spin 99 and battery comsumption for a P11 schedule medium size (european standard size) is about 2.600mAh. The only problem is the nose low weight, I need to modify the rudder servo and batteries mount to place the CoG in the right place!!!

Best Regards. Alfonso.

Mark, sounds good. Are the shafts reversable on these motors? Some want to use nose ring mount, others firewall. Most will probably not want to add the weight of the optional mounting system so that is the reason for my question.

thanks again
Don

Hi Mark. Will the XM6355DA-12-Competition work ok with an 11 pound Focus 2? If yes, then I would like to order one with the mount. What esc do you recommend with this motor? Do you ship to the Philippines? Thanks

Dear Jason;

It is possible that I have a heavy AXI, or my weighing scale is not very accurate, but I am sure about the wheight difference between the two motors. Also when assembly on the plane I was need to modify the battery mount to have the CoG in the right place.

Best Regards. Alfonso.

Extraline,
What is the weight of the plane your 6355 motor is on? Jayjayneri is looking at a 11 lb plane?

I would recommend a 90A HV ESC, such as the Dualsky HV90 or other quality ESC. We do ship from the Phillipines also. We are out of ESC's and the 6360 motor since I posted this thread! We will have more in mid OCt, China is on vacation from Oct 1-7.

Diameters of the motors don't seem to be posted. Important figure in some of our planes ;)

They are built very differently.

One is also designed for more than 10S setups ( not for F3a)

Let me share with you my expereience this past weekend as i debuted my new F3a plane for season 2012.

It is the Oxai Shark bipe designed by Bryan Hebert.

I choose the 6355-12T.

I am running APC 22X12, Spin 77 Opto and Sky lipo 8S 20C 4400mah.

I am pulling 79 amps and making 2400 watts power on fresh packs. ( this is above specs but I do not use full throttle at all during the flight.)

I am using 3400 -3600 mah for the p-13 schedule.

Model weighs 10 lbs 13 oz.

Here is a picture of the plane.

Chuck
