Throttle Curve?
Is there any particular advantage to programming a throttle curve into an electric pattern plane??
Is so, what would be the effect of having a throttle curve programmed?? Thanks for any information you can provide. Cheers |
RE: Throttle Curve?
Some electric setups end up with a lot of the power in the upper end of the throttle stick. Some hardly have any change in power under 50% travel. Bringing the curve down lower makes the power more linear to the stick. On some of mine bringing the 60% stick position down to 40% makes it nice.

RE: Throttle Curve?
Some set ups can feel very jumpy near the top. A throttle curve helps give a linear feel. Half power at one quarter throttle will get you very close. I start with just those three points and then fine tune from there.

RE: Throttle Curve?
Throttle curve will help you have a better way to control the power, so you can have 25,50,75 and 100% power for example in an approximate throttle stick position corresponding to that same percentage of movement. That is only a start as most people make the throttle curve to suite their flying, but in general terms is what is does.
