Plettenberg Advance 30-10 or Hacker Q80-14XS running data

I need some help deciding which motor to go with.
So far, I like the weight of the Q80. Pletty Advance seems to have really high efficiency, but heavier

Not a lot of running data including prop size, amp, battery usage for 7 to 8 min flying time.
would any please provide running data for either of the subject motors?
The more the better.

Thanks,

Ihncheol

I've only seen one Q80 to date. Seems to have good power but you are limited to ESC's you can use right now. Been flying the Pletty Advance for a few years. They run like clock and are quiet. I have 4 of them. Depending on conditions and the plane, I have been using a RASA 20.5X14, Falcon 21X13.5, Falcon 21X14, Falcon 20.5X14.5, and maybe today I will be experimenting with the PT21X13. I pay no attention to running data. I look at how the plane flys and take note of battery consumption for a typical Masters sequence. I am using YGE ESC's with Tech-Aero Throttle Techs.
I am flying 2 Xigris' and an Xtreme Comp Pegasus PH II right now.

Hi, Joe,
Battery consumption is one reason that I am looking at these motors.
But, weight of these motors do matter in my case.
Putting a plane on a diet is a lot harder than what I thought it could be.

How much battery capacity do you use for Masters sequence?

Ihncheol:

In my club, typical consumption for one Master sequence using Plett Advance is around 3300-3500mAh. Windy day may up to 3600-3900mAh. Airplanes are Angel's Shadow, OS ESC, Falcon 21x13.5 V2 prop.Theoretically, 4400mAh LiPo pack is enough, but most of us are using 5000mAh pack. The 4400mAh pack is reserved for contest.

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=1930811Data for PT 21x13 that I run in the cooler weather in order to slow the Bravo down a little. During the summer I've been running the PT 21x14.
Advance 30-10

Anywhere from 2500 to 3500 ma depending on conditions, time of year, contest flight etc. Most of the time 2800-3100 ma. Just got home from flying in 60 plus degrees with winds up to 20 plus. Mostly down the runway. Will post consumption when I charge up the packs for tomorrow. This is the first time on the PT 21X13. I think Ed Alts Throttle-Tech seems to help keep consumption down.

Update: 5 flights. Anywhere from 2675 to 3000 ma.

Which motor is this?
Isn't 160 degree a little high for the temperature nowadays?

It's the Advance 30-10. I had removed the heat sink from the Castle 80HV, although the esc was mounted just behind the lower cowl inlet. I put quite a few flights on it with no issues.
