Paint is very fragile, and I use a foam protection when working on the surfaces. I found useful using a carbon rod mounted on a plastic horn to position the horn parallel to the hinge line. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...41ee8366c6.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...938d072c25.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...25a3c5266a.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...bcf20519bd.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...43eda2ecef.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...5bc0ef0c2b.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...6c9406cf49.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...7a0fa20c04.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...db4b8fcc78.jpg |

Landing gear box reinforcement
Flying from a grass runway, I'm used to reinforce the ldg box with a 1 mm carbon plate, and to add some carbon tissue to distribute the efforts https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...10aaa3b1b0.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...838aed4b09.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...01b1bae83c.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...cb1b23c227.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...a68ba39186.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...27caa091ef.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...c1694e115d.jpg |
Engine installation.
With the thick nose ring and the short ADVERRUN Drive shaft, I bolted directly the engine to the nose ring using the soft mounts. As the air intake is small, the air exhaust on the bottom of the fuselage seems to be large enough. KONTRONIK runs cool as well as the D3. 80 or 82 mm FALCON spinners are used with a 2 or 3 blades prop https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...39ecc6fa52.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...ce7b5db759.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...d38ea97d46.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...5f6b2291b6.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...5b0d7166f7.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...b6bc918862.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...a9ad9384cf.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...0220dfd514.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...04edcd830f.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...57cf03e286.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...04c1def79a.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...780271c6a0.jpg |
How do you like that three blade? Can you compare it to the Falcon three blade in regards to performance?
Thanks, Joe |
Both are very good props
For RS there is juste one size, 21" X 14 For FALCON, you have different models Diameter Pitch 19″ 13.5 EL V2 19.5″ 13 EL V2 19.7″ 13N EL V2 20″ 12.5 13 & 13,5 EL V2 You have too the MEJZLIK 20" 13 EL 20" 14 EL https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...7fa6584e1c.jpg |
Yes thank you. I was just curious which one you preferred and why? The falcon 20-12 three blade or the RSM three blade?
