BRIO Electric 10-size
 

How many of you have perused the Horizon site and found this?

Should be a great plane to knock around when not flying the 2m's? They mention a couple of outrunner setups, the 480BL and a new "10BL" that will be released soon. The 10 size is "made for fast F3A flying" while the 480 with a smaller battery is for 3D setup. (I've always thought we were slowing things down with the new F3A planes compared to the fire breathing 60-sized semi jets.[sm=confused.gif])

I think I'm going to spring for this when it arrives. If I could only figure out how to fly my Angel's Shadow on the street in the front of my house I wouldn't NEED this plane!:D

I know it's just conjecture at this point, but what's your opinion on this plane?

It looks perfect! Anyone who has put together a minifunatana or edge 540 from eflite knows what this arf will be like. Light strong and well made. Perfect colors too!

300 watts thru a 10x7 or an 11x7 should work well. Plenty of power system choices out there.

It looks great! I'm thinking a Hacker A30-28S and a TP 3 Cell 2100 Prolite pack would be good. I'd get one, but I'm already on the waiting list for a Fliton Rogue.

I fly both the Fliton Prodigy and the Hyperion 3Dlite. Both are great planes. This looks better. Can't wait. When will they be available? Mike

Mike,

Brio 10 is scheduled for April 7 to those dealers who have them preordered. Others will have a few days to a week delay.
I have them automatically preordered.

I picked mine up on Friday. It's extremly well built and easy as pie to assemble. I'm waiting for the hacker motor I bought to arrive and I will test fly it soon. I'm putting the lightest setup I can into it. Mike

I got mine yesterday, and it went together so EZ! I will take it out Wed. as long as the weather is good.
I went with the Eflite 480 and the TP 1350s

Got mine 2 days ago. just finished my prodigy, love it. this ones quality is far better but a little heavier.I will fly it as soon as I can get it together.

Ok I was able to make it out and fly this plane.....WOW I love it! It has speed, & the slow flight is awsome, I was doing high alph knife edges on the 2 flight, only 2 feet from the deck. It would hover very well,just over half thr. The winds were 10-15 and did not even touch it a bit. I did land it in the grass a bit hard once and bent the landing gear up, I have to say if you have ever flow the Mini Funtana of Mini Edge this plane is 100% better, I have had both. All I have to say is wow, this is a great little plane!

What's it weigh with battey? What motor and Lipo are you using? Thanks
I'm going to fly mine today. I put the Hacker A30 in mine. Man just based on bench testing it's really a power house.

I have the Eflite 480 outrunner with the Eflite 40amp speedcontrol and for the battery I am using the TP 1320s I was getting right arond 10min flights.

Thanks. I have the option of running either the 1320's or the 2100's. It will be based on how it flys. I have the Hacker A30 16M. 11x7 E prop. EFlite 40 amp ESC. This will be my 3rd little pattern plane. I had the Prodigy and I have the 3DLight. This will be a good test. Mike

This thing goes together VERY FAST! Should have it built by tomorrow morning but the winds will be gusting to only 50-60kts! Oh well, some evening this week it should slow down.

The kit quality is excellent. Just can't decide to go with axi power or himax as i have no eperience with hi max but might try to take a shot. Any suggestions?

hemi, why do you want to buy the lowest performing outrunners on the market? Hackers outperform AXIs, and Himaxes are the lowest efficiency on the market.

Hi All,

I picked up one of the two Brio 10's that Atlanta Hobby recieved early. I'll be using a Torque 2818T/900 388 watts, a Airboss 45 amp controller and the new eflite S75 servos.

since we just finished our taxes, I should have time to put her together on sunday. Can't wait, really nice kit, nice quality.

Mike, I'm considering a similar setup but with Castle Creations ESC. Which battery pack did you pick and why? The 2100 looks sweet but is much heavier than the 1320. Bob

Bob you'll fry a 1320 pack. The weight isn't a killer this airframe can handle it.
Kieth I have the A30 16M on mine it pulls 33amps peak. That's with an APC 11x7E. and a 2100 pack.

Thanks for the info, now its time to order. I have an axi 2212-26, jeti 18a controller, 11x4.7prop,tp 11.1 1320mah setup on my prodigy and it has a flight time of 10 min. This bird is a dream to fly and i cant wait to get the brio done. Thanks for all the info. Keith
