Spin 77
Hey Guys my, Spin 99, decided to die again. I called hobby lobby, and they were awesome with customer service. They are sending me a Spin 77 tu run with my Axi 5330/F3A. Would you guys feel comfortable running a Spin 77 with the AXI 5330/F3A. Right now I am pulling 72 max amps. So I am thinking that the 77 would work; any thoughts?

TIA On the Spin controllers, you can set the temperature cutoff limits so you could use that as a level of protection for first few flights.... Woodie |
RE: Spin 77
If you are killing spin99s, why would you want to step down to a 77 ??

RE: Spin 77
I don't think I am killing the spin 99. They have been having prblems with that esc all over the county. The first one that I put in the airplane did not work and the second one pooped after two months, with no sign of damadge.

What's a good temp Woodie?

RE: Spin 77
ORIGINAL: rgreen24 What's a good temp Woodie? My controllers never get over about 30 degrees above ambient and I know that is well below the default cutoff. I would start at about 160-170 F (I think you set the Spin in C so you will have to do the conversion yourself) that should give you some buffer yet provide a safety limit in case of heat problems. JimO, what temps have you been seeing on your Spins? Woodie |

RE: Spin 77
So woodie, you think the 77 should be alright? I ran a Jeti 90 this weekend that a fellow flier lent me, and no hick-ups what so ever. I want to stick with the same equipment, because, I don't want my controller to die on me again. Would you rather go with the Spin 77 or the Jeti 90. Again keep in mind that I am pulling 72 Amps max
