I'm actually using this set-up:
Lipo EVO25 3700mA 6S
Hacker A50-16S
Great combo! :D
It flies great ....nice tracking in rolls and precise in snaps.

I'll have one on Wednesday, I've had one on backorder since August 15, I finally got a shipment notification on Thursday. Anyone interested in a build thread?

Alladin, how long are your run times with the 3700? How about a weight ready to fly?

I usually fly my sport routine (Intermediate) in 6min using 1800mAh with an APC 16x8.

Anybody have any trouble getting the canopy off. I have split the edge trying to release the magnets...and the only way it appears to work is if the front tongue is removed and lifted from the front.

I 'm not sure if I can lift from the back when the cowl is in place

Just got mine. I had a problem getting the wings to fit and then remove. Very tight fit. Yep, magnets on canopy are pretty darn strong.

Make sure when you mount the cowl you hold it UP tight to the bottom rather than tight down, this will leave room to remove it. As for the magnets, they are strong, I usually wiggle 2 fingernails under the top before I gently pry it up. I suppose if they are too strong you could add a layer of foam tape (thin) so they don't touch but you should get used to it...

Been flying mine for the last two moths. Very precise with the stock set up and 6S 30C polys.
Certainly it can be recommended. No probs with canopy or wing fitment.

Well, I pulled the trigger on one of these on Monday. Hopefully it arrives soon. I have an Axi 4130-16 looking for a home!

Edited to ask: How long does it take to come from Fedon? They charged me for next day air delivery two days ago.

Well, it got here today, just over a week from the order. I looked at the big parts (no real unpacking yet) and first impressions are that it is VERY nice. I hope to start assembly this weekend.

You will not be dissapointed, fast snaps will take the canopy off though, I suggest an additional catch, I put an ordinary canopy catch at the rear of the canopy on the top, eventually I bent the handle over to give me something to pull the canopy off with.

I think the Angel thread has been hiding here:

[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6875170/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm]Angel Build Thread[/link]

The DualSky motor that I am using is just right for F3A flying, I am getting about 7 good mins flight time with my Flight Power EVO25 5S 4,900 packs. This is one of the best 40-50 sized plane that I have flown, other plane that I can think which flies so well and clean is the Fliton Exytra 330 Freestyle. :)

Hi,

I have flown other Angel's on that set up. More than enough performance for F3A. I use a higher KV set up though because of using 5S 5300's instead (half of my F3A 2x2 batts)

Cheers

I been getting a lot more flights on my Angel, I find that she is kinda light and when I execute something like a reversed Cuban, she wants to float a bit at the top. I decided to weigh her and she came in at 2.55 kgs, that's like 5.6 lbs only. Pretty kewl for a 50 sized EP plane of 60".

RE: Sebart Angel S Evo 50E

Just to inform you that I lost today my beautiful Angel 50 , built by Jean-Pierre Zardini.

During the last part of a knife edge loop, the canopy seperated, setting the switch to off.........

I think it could be a good idea to improve the way the canopy is fixed, and/or change the switch location.

RE: Sebart Angel S Evo 50E

JP - ouch! Sorry to hear that ...

I ordered the HYPERION Z4025/12 for my 5S set up, I hope to see a lot of improvement over my DualSky motor, but I will be using a 16x10 only, I don't think I want to pull that many amps. A report on the motor should be out next weekend!

How is your covering holding up? I know designs with sharp patterns look great but they tend to peel off easier with the shart tips. I lost the white trims on the bottom of one wing. Time for more clear nail polish I guess ...

RE: Sebart Angel S Evo 50E

Mine began to peel off on the first flight. I had to go over everything with an iron.
Since then(50 flights) it's been fine.

Just one tiny piece of white on bottom which I caught just in time. Otherwise, nothing.

RE: Sebart Angel S Evo 50E

Has anyone had to repair the landing gear on their Angel? I had to put mine down hard yesterday due to battery dumping at an in-opportune time and position. I decided to put it into the small hill at our field instead of the full scale hangar.

The result is one gear bent and ripped out. Doesn't seem to be an easy way in to repair it, but I thought I would see if anyone had done this already and had some insight.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Sebart Angel S Evo 50E

Hi
I had to straighten the gear on my Angel S on several occasions. I used to take it out and put in a bench vice and a combination of carefully applied brute force did the trick. Never ripped on out. My guess is you will need to open the Fuz directly below the UC mounting plate. It shouldnt be too big a job.

I had to bend mine and if I could, it would be so easy with a vise and a HUGE pair of pliers.

I have just being flying one of these Angles for the first time, and can't believe how well the thing TRACKS. This model flys like it is larger than it really is, if that makes sense.
The one I'm flying is second hand, the guy that sold it upgraded to the 110. I put the same running gear in it that he took out, which is a Tunigy motor, and 6s Rhino's.
This is my first ever "E" model, I haven't even flown a foamy before, and so far I'm convinced that this is the way forward for me in future models.
It has been a lot of fun just getting my head around Lipo's etc. GREAT MODEL.
p.s my wife just got a new camera, so I hope to upload a couple of pixs soon. Matt

Just thought that I would add a few photo's of the Angle in flight. I recieved some more Rhino's the other day, the first 6s,3700 Rhin had a deans plug on it, but I see they have now changed plug types, oh well, out with the soldering iron again. Matt

Hello again tIANci,
have not flown this week, but my new batteries have arrived so I can now do 6 flights before needing a charge. I have the spinner, and will fit it in due course as I wanted to get the airflow through the front of the motor, now I have flown it, I will add the spinner and take a new pix for you:-)
p.s saw your new Miss Wind in the other thread, looks nice.

matt ... let me try to get her up for a Sat maiden. I pray she will be as nice as the Angel. I was very bad once. My pal landed his Xtreme Composite 100cc Edge on the field, he parked it a little ways from the flight line. I took off in my Angel and just as I was near his Edge 540, I went into a nice KE like 5' above his plane ... talk about being a show off. Heheheheehhee ...

Hope to see some nice pics of you flying the Angel!
