Default Texas Electric Challange

Texas Unlimited Electric Challenge
To investigate the feasibility of Giant Scale “Electric” Racing. To identify the cost, likely airframes, and potential speeds attainable.

The Texas Nationals, Hearne, TX. June 10-12 2011. To be run on Saturday and Sunday during the lunch break.

The challenge:
Navigate an electric powered giant scale racer around the established USRA race course for 6 laps and produce the quickest time around the course. We are also looking for the fastest time between pylons.

Power plant: There will be no limits on the power plant to be used.
Airframes: Approved USRA scale airframes (unlimited,F1, Biplane,AT-6, Experimental, Thompson trophy) and 1/5 scale war birds(piston powered only). All airframes must pass a standard USRA technical inspection. There will be no minimum weight requirements. AMA maximums will be enforced.

Quickest 6 laps: TBD
Fasted speed between pylons: TBD
Breaking world record: TBD
