Advanced Precision Composites has donated their 8X8E propellers for race contestants competing in our first EF-1 Race this September. This kind of support is one of many things that makes it so great to be a part of this hobby.

Thank you to APC and Annie T for your support!

We are quickly coming up on our fly-in this month, and I wanted to toss out the welcome mat again and give a prize update.
Our raffle prizes so far:
1 3D Hobby Shop 41” Edge 540 with everything to make it BNF – from Angelo RC
1 Sundowner 36 ARF – from Angelo RC & Eggemeyer’s
1 DX6i TX – from Angelo RC & Eggemeyer’s
1 LR/1A Pogo – Donated by Horizon Hobby
2 $20.00 Gift Certificates to Hobby King – from Angelo RC
1 $50.00 Gift Certificate to Hobby King – from Angelo RC
EF-1 8 x8 E Race Props donated by APC
Lunch will be available from Dickey’s BBQ. (Price per plate depends on amount ordered. We will collect a head count Saturday morning and pick up the chow.)
We are also planning a “Bring/Burn your own steak” dinner/hospitality night on Saturday.
If you have any questions or need any info on the area, don’t hesitate to send me a PM.
Thanks,
Ken

How about some pics? How did it go? How many participants in your EF-1 event?
Thanks

Epic fail...

Everyone who said they would show for the race did not, and somehow there was some confusion about it being a 3 pole race instead of a two. The only ones who raced were another club member and myself because we bought EF-1 planes for this event. I doubt the club will try to host another EF-1 Race. The rest of the fly in was fun and we had great weather.

Don't give up. I think with persistence it will survive. The technology is so much better now than ever before for electrics. There are several choices for planes, and the bits that go inside.
