How old is everyone??

60 years old - makes me the grandpa of the group. GULP !!! First time modeling - first time flying - drooling on my shoes looking at the Aerohawk in the window of our local hobby store - finally got up the courage and bought it. First time hearing that whop whop whop hovering sound - nearly pee'd my pants with excitement!

36 this year second generation Modeller flown bits of everytying and made bits out of everthing,I enjoy all forms of scratch building be it scale gliders, helicopter bodies or a peanut scale free flighter, I'm an addict that is for sure.
I am a chef in a busy torist hotel in the Adelaide hills and my other passion apart from my lovely wife and three great kids is my 1968 MG midget that I drive to work most days and love belting home late at night with the top down gazing to the heavens,
AAAAaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh,zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ,
interesting thread this one, gives me a new out look, I have for a long time felt that modellers were a dying breed and the younger generation were drifting off to greener pastures and missing out on the thrill of that first flight of a new model or that feeling you get when you finally master a new manouvre,
I'll stop dribbling nowand go play with my toys,
Buy for now

I'm a 28yr old computer illustrator. I have a HB VII, a Shuttle Challenge, and soon to have the new Zoom 400. I've been flying for a few years with airplanes, but the heli's have been a renewed interest in the last year.

Hello, I am 37 years old and have a 15 year old son. I fly mainly 40% aircraft for the last 4 years . I am now getting into heli's pretty heavy. My son and I both have VelociRaptor 50 V2's. I have flown just about everything R/C except jets. I even R/C skydive! Keeping alot of assorted things on the shelf keep the hobby interesting. The only problem now is my son is getting better faster than I am!

Hey everyone!
I'm 46 and new to the R/C helicopter circuit.I have been flying R/C aircraft for 6 years and loved every minute of it.I have always been intrigued with helicopters..and I now have an Aerohawk and flying outside circuits.(carefully).
I also have built a 737 cockpit simulator for my craving of flight during the winter months.
I work at an airport part-time and was taking lessons for awhile...but chose to invest in my cockpit first. My main full-time job is with Amtrak.
I also have 1 parachute jump under my belt(free fall tandem)...what a blast!!that was![8D]
If it flies I gotta try it...

I am 45, but young 18 at heart with a lot of interesting model stories to tell. Start flying fix wing 32 years ago, on and off until I earned my first pay cheque. Tried out heli in 1979 with no gyro, no heli/computer radio, no special heli engine, fix pitch (adjust pitch by twisting the nylon bar that hold the main rotor), no servo reversing switches on transmitter ( needed to re solder wires inside the servos) and no spare parts - airborned once and only once for a tank of gas and in storage for the rest of its life until damaged by the rats!
Actively involved in clubs, fly fix wings 5 out of the 7 days a week - at least ( 5 flights per day).
Bought an Aerohwak and I like it -- very much. I don't have to spend months on building, don't have to due with messy gas & oil, very simple to setup, compare to the old one, don't have to drive far - don't even have to drive, just fly in my garage!

Hi!
I'm almost 26, I live in Costa Rica and I have a lot of parts that put together should be a Logo 10 but I'm waiting for some parts to come... I've been flying a virtual helicopter (read: simulator) for about 8 months now... and I can fly it very well... hope I can do that well with the real one because it's been a lot of money spent on it... Cheers!
Esteban.

1960's Vintage. 17 years in the Coast Guard so far, now a Chief Petty Officer.
Other interests:
Running a small foundry and machine shop - sandcasting aluminum and brass parts then machining them to make small steam and stirling engines.
Currently have 5 R/C planes in the hanger (including the infamous square "Pizza Box Flyer").
Wife says she likes that I'm into planes and helis cause she always know's what I'm up to.
No kids - just a pet cockatiel bird named "Aileron".
