i learned without a gyro, cause i was having problems setting it up (turns out i had to flip the gyro, but thats another story.) so i started to fly without it. you have to set the trim so the heli doesnt move in a perfect hover. with any up or down on the throttle, the heli is going to twist....a lot. you pretty much learn to move the rudder stick equal amounts with the throttle. it's not really hard, you just have to think about the left hand side of the tx more than normal.

Default RE: is it possible to fly with out a gyro until i can get one

Guys,

I'd like to get back in the air, but I'm waiting on a new board right now - Gyro died. I don't blame the Gyro though, I had many crashes that went from lot's of throttle to none to cause some current surges.

Anyway, without the gyro, I can't get the tail to spin at all. How do you reconnect or set up the all in 1 board to get past a bad gyro. I would like to be able to play with the real thing again even while I wait for the replacemet board.

Eventually I see myself going to seperates, but while learning, I'm afraid to be making too many changes.

Thanks,
Heli_fly

depends, what are the specs? size means very little compared to everything else. (turns, kV)
