RE: upgrade motor ideas?
I assume it a micro helicopter.... i would go with the himax 2015-4100, and phx-10 as esc.
no i cant get a brushless, way too expensive, cosidering u have to get a main esc, a tail esc, a new gyro and a six channel radio to control the gyro and the brushless ( I have a five)
I am thinking of a team orion micro core modified.

Honestly, the Johnson is as powerful as any brushed motor you can put into your heli. Using an inverted motor mount (available in a week or two), it gets even more power due to the direction of rotation.
Dont waste your money on a more expensive brushed motor, it is not worth it.

Hi swanne
It is not a must to get 2 sets of ESC if u want to go brushless. Since you said your chopper is Dragonfly, then your ESC Mixer is either PHA-01 or ESC Mixer. If your mixer is a GWS ESC Mixer, then the minimum configuration u need to purchase is Brushless motor and Brushless controller (Let say Himax HA2015-4100 and Castle Creations PHX-10). What u need to do is connect your B/L controller in parallel to your ESC Mixer to the Throttle channel. The disadvantage of doing so is that it is extra weight (but only maybe 6Grams extra). U can do so till u save enough money to purchase a Brushed Controller for the tail and Heading Hold (Assuming u do not have Revo Mixing TX). If you go brushless now, at least u do not have to worry about brushess worn out.
