Default I smell burning plastic

While making final adjustments to my shogun I might, just might have mixed polarities between the battery and the evo flight ESC [contact was for less than a second]. I turned on the ESC, nothing remarkable. however, when the radio was turned on I smelled plastic burning, it was faint and the the controls on the heli stopped responding, upon further inspection I noticed that the ESC was EXtremely HOT. What happened? Did I just FRY $40.00?

Default RE: I smell burning plastic

Probably :-(

Double check your connections, and try it again. If there is no response from the heli then I would have to say "Yeppers you fried it!". I did this same basic thing on a RC car that I had sometime ago.

Let's hope you didn't though!
