Default These tail motors are starting to tick me off!!!

Have had the honey bee 2 since Christmas and am having a ball with it. The only problem is the tail motor, just blew out my 4th one last night. Have been thru 3 stock ones and 1 GWS supposed upgrade which lasted even less time than the stock ones. Does anyone know of a tail motor that will last more than 4 or 5 battery packs?

the stock one that came with my hummingbird lasted at least 20 flights, i replaced it cause i thought it was bad, the new one did not fix the problem i was having so it must still be good. the replacement i used was an OEM and it has at least 20-25 flights on it so far too.

I"m surprised at the # of motors. I have at least 30+ flights with the LIPO battery, and each one is extremely long. I still have the origonal motor. One possiblity is the setup. I've adjusted my collective till it starts to lift off at about 7/8 of the throttle movement with a freshly charged pack. I played with tracking and found one of my blades was flying much higher than the other. With some creative camera work with my video camera and some felt tip pens, I found which one. I was able to get them tracking very nicely. Also, the flybar paddles have to be perfectly flat until the swashplate moves them. When they are not, they cause lots of drag. With added drag there, and blades that aren't flying correctly you have a lot more torque, which causes the motor to work harder on the tail rotor. I've gained flight time by getting this all set up and unloading the two motors as much as possible..Hope this helps...
