Default micro heli seperates & gyro question

i am trying to get my aerohawk to fly with two seperate escs and a new hh telebee gyro.i only have the stock gws 4ch radio,so no fancy mixings.
i have hooked up every thing and gotten it in working order before hooking up the gyro.

when wiring the gyro by the instructions,i get the blue light after a few seconds but the only thing it does is slow the tail motors reaction.

iv even let it sit "on"for 5+min as the instr say but still nothing.
any help would be great

dunno about the telebee, but my gy401 has a delay setting as well as a travel setting to retard the response, maybe check and make sure nothing like that is getting in the way....
