Micro heli with belt drive tail upgrade?
Im looking for a micro heli (esky, hummingbird, dragonfly) that I would be able to purchace a belt drive tail mod. Anyone know of such an upgrade on a micro? I want to buy one for my indoor flying. I already have a coroan and a T-rex, I just want something smaller.
Must be CP!!!
Thanx

You would never get a belt inside the Esky boom. Even with a larger diameter boom you would have problems.
I haven't seen a Zoom/Shogun belt drive in action but I bet if you could see inside the boom and how close
the belt teeth are to each other it would scare the hell out of you.

I've also got a rex and a couple of Honeybee 2 CPs. The Honeybee 2 is a great little heli for playing with indoors. Fly's well, pretty tough and cheap available parts. But I haven't seen any belt drive options for any of these small helis. Tuscon01 is right. There just ain't room for it. If you don't want to mess with tail motors then your best bet is one of the micros with a shaft drive tail.

Looks like at this poing Im better off with geting the dual motor drive and sticking with the HB 2. Its the smallest as far as a micro accept the XRB lama. Not the same though.
Is your HB2 brushless?

No, the stock motor for the HB2 is a brushed 370. A few guys have put brushless motors in them. If you do a search JeffElecRc had a really nice how to with pictures. The HB2 is a great little heli for the price. And the RX will work with Futaba or Hitec TXs which lets you dial it in a bit better than the stock TX. There's also a new HB2 CP2. Looks like they improved the frame, main gear, and rotor head.
