Default storing Li-ion batterys

I havn't used my heli for > 7 months now, i dug out out the other day, all in good condition exept my battery is reading 0.1V when it should be ~9V which it was when i left it, my charger is refusing to charge it and it looks like now im going to have to spend £20 on a new battery [:@]

Is there any hope of getting this battery pack to work again?

Sabot,

You didn't say what type of battery pack it was. £20 ($35 US) sounds pretty expensive for NiMh, very very expensive for ni-cad, or about right for a 2s lipo, but 9volts doesn't sound right for a 2s lipo.

Edit >>Oops ... do I feel stupid ... the battery type was the thread title ... duh.

A peak charged 2 cell lipo should average out at about ~9 volts, 7.4 after use for awhile.

credence,

Roger on that, for some reason I had 3s on my mind, and 9v would've been at the lower safety limit for lipos.

I'm having trouble multi-tasking ... I'm at work sitting in my truck awaiting some test results, and probably shouldn't have tried "playing forum"

Don't feel too bad, i've been feeling lousy all day because I woke up too quickly? Mailman was ringing at the doorbell with some heli parts, didn't want to wait till tommorow to pick them up, so I jumped out of bed, threw on my clothes and ran to the door in a matter of 10 seconds, had a headache since then

But, the moral of the story is, I got my stuff!
