Default Gaui Hurricane 550 Swash Servo Questions...

I want Futaba servos (I know it's narrowing the response field a bit, but I like Futaba)

I am a newbie pilot and do NOT see myself doing 3D. If I do ever get to that point, I would likely want an align (more metal included in the initial purchase).

Hovering, forward flight...basic learning to fly a heli stuff.

Will the 3152's be good enough servos for the swash?
Speed: .22 sec/60° @ 4.8V, .18 sec/60° @ 6V
Torque: 69 oz-in @ 4.8V, 87 oz-in @ 6V

So far I have decided on..
GY401 and 9254 for the tail.
CC BEC (5.1v was a must for the 9254 that wants 5V) (the stock is 5.8v)
7.4v 1345mAH flight power lipo for RX
2 FP 2100's (from my planes)
AR6100 RX
DX7 (from the planes again)
And the rest that comes with the heli for the learning phase

Your opinions are greatly appreciated

Thank you!

Default RE: Gaui Hurricane 550 Swash Servo Questions...

Hahaha.. I don't care about brands.. just like servos that work and keep working long term.
Although i push the helis really hard, i'm no where near a 3D expert, but i do some aggressive flying everyday.
My skill level isn't even close to pushing my cyclic servos to their limits lol.
I'm using DS 821's for the swash on both of my Hurricanes and they work fine for hard sport and entry level 3D. Here they are in action.. you can't see too much of the snap rolls and tic tocs because i didn't have a camera person with me lol.. but they fly smooth and are very responsive and will easily do good 3D when in the hands of a better 3D pilot (because i've let them fly it).. just need a better pilot than me heheh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImScrDbcy_I
They are good servos and are effective and are still all original servos and gears after 323 flights and 4 crashes on one hurri, and 331 flights and 3 crashes on the other hurri.
Any servos with at least the performance rating of the DS821's should be fine, but i'm staying with what i know already works.
Happy flying!
