CSM HLG200 Gyro

Hi All,

I've got the following setup:
Hitec Eclipse 7 TX GWS 4ch RX
GWS 100 Main ESC
GWS 50 Tail ESC
370 Main motor
Direct Drive Tail Motor
CSM HLG200 HH Gyro
on a HB chassis

The gyro is giving me some grief!
I can't seem to get the gain set right, with the gain really low I get really good response to movement but too much tail at 3/4 throttle. At higher gain I get poor response to movement and far too much tail with sporadic bursts of tail motor. If I go really low the tail spins all the time
I've heard these gyros can be difficult to setup - any tips?

What battery are you using. I've heard that if you use like 3s lipoly it makes the CSM too responsive even with the gain really low....

Hi Banished,
Make sure all your mixing in that 7 channel tx is disabled for this model (set it up as if for an airplane). It sounds like you have some revo mixing or rudder offset mixing happening.

Hi
I'm using a 2 cell lipo.

The TX is in Heli mode, I'm sure REVO is off, but not sure off rudder mixing? Should I just turn that off in Heli mode or use plane mode instead?

Steve
