aerohawk pcb different problem

Has anyone come across this problem with an aerohawk pcb ? :-

The tail motor fails to speed up when the throttle is increased, in fact it stops altogether - however the tail motor and gyro circuitry are ok in that it the red light comes on and tail motor responds to sideways movement, i.e. the tail motor speeds up with plenty power. The main motor also works fine.

At first I thought it was the tail FET, but now not so sure if the gyro can still drive the motor ?. I assume all the tail controls (throttle mix, gyro, rudder control) are all channelled to the same FET?.

I'm now thinking it is the area of the board that does the throttle mixing?, wherever that it is ?.

Anyone know if this can this be repaired?. If not, can I still use the gyro and main motor part's of the board by adding a separate ESC for the tail ?.

Help!!

You could try replacing the pot for the mixing with a new one and see if this works. If you use a seperate tail esc you still need to provide mixing.
