Piccolo Compatibility

I scrapped my colco bird for parts and am looking at getting an FP Piccolo...but I have a question:

Can I keep my old colco transmitter and use it with the FP Piccolo?

I don't want to spend lots of money getting a new radio when I have one that works fine...so if I can't work it with the Piccolo, is there another good FP heli that I can use my transmitter with? Many of you are probably familiar with the colco transmitter and can answer this question

Also, does the FP Piccolo have a shaft driven tail rotor? Are there any FP helis with a shaft driven tail rotor? I'm tired of burning out tail motors and I don't want it to be a problem.

A cocolo bird! sounds what you need! if radio not a real one then you will have to buy again,(cheap toys again see), you can get hornet with fp and shaft drive tail and then can upgrade to cp, you can use 4 channel on fp but will need 6 if go to fp so now a good time to buy a radio that last you for ever.

Thanks for the info but I don't think I will go CP for a long time. I want to be sure I got the FP completely down before making the leap and possibly losing alot of money. Thats why I am going with the Piccolo FP. Rock solid FP heli for a decent price.
