i was wondering of you can buy the xrb lama with out the tx?

But you have to be careful since alot of those RTF kits come with propriatery receivers that can only run on a supplied transmitter.

I am pretty sure that the transmitter that comes with the XRB SR Lama is a standard futaba-compatible 4 channel transmitter.
