CDE/HDE Differences
hey guys
just a quick question, whats the difference between the trex 450XL HDE and CDE kits? ive looked and cant find anything explaining it. im looking at one for my next heli. |
RE: CDE/HDE Differences
HDE uses separate servos for pitch, roll and collective.
CDE uses all 3 servos for all 3 functions (CCPM) |
RE: CDE/HDE Differences
Yeah, CDE works like a traditional helicopter's swash plate. It uses 3 servos spaced 120 degrees apart to manipulate the swash plate (collective up/down, for/aft pitch, and left/right pitch). HDE is what the shogun/dragonfly35 use. One servo for collective (through the mast), another for for/aft pitch, and another for left/right. CDE is much better but you have to make sure you xmitter supports 120 mixing.
