Whats the Difference between nitro and gas?
 

i got a electric and i am looking at a heli thats nitro, how is that different than gas?

Gas engines run off regular gasoline, while Nitro runs off special model fuel called Glow fuel, glow fuel contains usually around 10-30% nitro methane, and the rest is oil.

Nitro methane is very similar to gasoline, however nitro is pre-mixed with nitrous oxide, which contains its own oxygen atoms that helps it burn.

Glow fuel engines dont use sparkplugs, but use glowplugs instead which glow from the heat of the engine. When you start a glow engine, you need a battery to pre-heat the "glow plug" which is basically a metal coil which heats up when electricity is passed through it.
