align ESC HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!
 

ok i have an align 25 amp ESC im trying to get working for my new rex. When i connect the li-pos to it, and connect it to the receiver, nothing happens. When i hook up another batt pack, i get the ESC beeping at me, but the only thing that i can get the motor to do is flip on when i go full throttle then pop it back down, but then its only because of the movement. How in the bloody blue blazes do i get this thing working?

OK........when i conected another batt to the esc on the red and black wires(batt inputs im assuming) i get nothing out of the esc. When i first connected the battery to it, i did get a short(had to wire them together for a lack of connectors) and nothing has happend since i started.



Did i fry the esc(but it has made the motor come up....) or screw the batts up? should i just let it sit and reset?

ok i let it reset and robbed the connector of the charge. I now have power to the receiver, and all my controls are running, but no throttle....WTH??

I wuit for now.....i programed it per some instruction i found online.....only trick was i started to throttle DOWn and the ******* went full. Im not fhure im not going to have to go to the er thanks t the mother F***** tail boom....


Ill mess wiht it tommorow, but no more tonight.......i need to go patch the wounds up....

all controls running and no throttle can mean that your tx throttle position at idle is slightly too high for the esc to arm or maybe your tx throttle channel needs to be reversed. be very careful figuring it out and removing all propellers and or rotor blades is recommended until it is working right.

well i got the bad boy to spin up once......(im a glutton for punishment i went back to woring on it) the gyro was apparently not working and it flung the battery across the room. I unplugged and attempted to reprogram the esc. After i reversed the throttle it seemed to be working, and i took it outside to spin it back up. Now it will not spin up to full speed with the left stick ANYWERE. tell me again why i bought a helicopter......


Does anyone know how to program one of these(like specifics). Every time i try to kick it into programing mode, when i bring the stick DOWN to set the brake option, it throtlles up and wont program.......GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

btw....the flybar will remove pieces of your hand before it bends.......foudn THAT out...

if it throttles up when you bring the left stick down from full throttle then your throttle channel on the tx is reversed. fix that and try again. If after you reverse the throttle channel, you find that you cannot get the esc to arm when you plug in the battery with the throttle and trim all the way down, then you will need to adjust your subtrim lower. (that is if your tx has the capability) note: please be careful! :)

i got the reversal problem taken care of, btu now the thing wont spin up(i may remmove the blades and see if it does it wihtout baldes.......)

I was frustrated with mine too. I had to
*****Take off the main and tail blades***********
1. make sure trim (throttle) was in neutral
2. Reverse the throttle channel

As I see it there is only 2 possibilities for you as you are sooo doing it in a stupid manner (sorry)

Get help (hands on) or sell the thing before you hurt yourself or other seriously.....

Read the manual and make sure you understand it, if you don't have it then download it from Align.
Move the motor away from the main gear while you try out things.

IM going to ignore the rude comments, How bought linking me to that manual since i cant find it, and have stated it didnt come with one.


How bought this, try not to be rude. I dont see anything i did as being stupid, the da*ned thing didnt have main rotors when i first fired it, and it snapped to full throttle while following directions i was given. What am i supposed to do when im doing things the way im told, hide behind a concrete bunker? Now that i know it will freak out on occasion, its sitting thirty feet from me(with or without rotors) with something between me and it. Thanks for the complete lack of constructive input as to why my ESC will not throttle up my motor.

hmm, I'll try to help NICELY, rudely doesn't help him fix his problem, now, back to you,

if it only throttles up fully, you may be in 3D mode, flip that switch and try again

if it does not initialize, then, you may not be at throttle off

the connector for the RX may not be in the right place (gyro wires seem to look similar) and/or may be put in wrong way, I've had that happen before

you may (probably not) have screwed and fried the ESC, try sending it back and getting a new one, this is last resort, try other steps first

post a picture of your RX and the servo connectors, that may help us help you

ill take some detailed pictures of how its setup when i get back from fishing.


Between this and the joker whos not responding to my emails about the better gyro i got im starting to get frustrated.....
