T-rex Metal Head--Align, or Sonic V2
 

Hi,

Looking for a new metal head setup for my T-rex. Wonder if anyone can give suggestion on which one is better, the Align SE meatal head, or the Sonic V2? I know Align Se metal swatch plate have some problem, pops out. But I don't know much about Sonice V2, it looks very good and price is very good too. Thank you any suggestions.

the align head is fine i have 2 of them, never had a problem with either!

Sonix is sold by Helli Direct. Didn't like my v2 at first, but after increasing my atf it works fine. The spherical bearing in the swash is all metal and I think it has less play than the Align.

I have had 2 of the align metal heads and they work great, and my only knowledge of the sonics is that the aluminum is of a softer grade. Only heard that, but it is pretty well known from what I here. Get the Align for like 139.99 at Modefo's and the swah is an easy fix IF it is even loose.

stay away from sonix, i got one and it is crap! flew apart i need a link to them

You have to Locktite all the screws on the Sonix like it says in the instructions or it will come apart. Now that Align has fixed their seperation problem, I would rate them equal. I have a Sonix and an Align.

what makes you think i did not loctite everything? i ALWAYS loctite heli parts

I'm sorry you didn't have good luck with your Sonix head papamac. I have had no problems with mine. I don"t understand exactly what flew apart
