Training gear for MX400...

Guys,

I ordered this set from Tower last night, do you all think its a good match for the Mx400? Is says up to a .30 size heli, but it was amongst the other stuff purchased by those buying the Mx400. Maybe that doesnt mean anything, but I would rather have training gear on for a while than to smash up the new heli. Take a look:

Think its a good match? Its says nothing about dimensions of the gear so its tough to judge, but if anyone has any experience with this set, then please chime in! Thanks!

I just hope it is not too heavy for the MX

It'll most probably be too large. You can just cut a few inches off each end. It's only carbon rods with balls stuck on the end :).

I had ordered the same gear for my mx400. Puts a lot of stress on the heli. I wouldn't recommend those gear for that heli, but I did get a lot of safe hovering in and they did save my heli from more than one disaster.

When you said it put alot of stress on the heli, did you mean it had to use a higher throttle setting to establish the hover? I am hoping this well help me get comfortable with the hover then I can to move on to other stuff. Thanks -

What about a training gear like this one offer at [link=http://www.pinnaclemodel.com/index_eproduct_view.php?products_id=72]Pinnacle Model[/link]? It is very light weight, I have bought one when I start my Honey Bee cool heli practice.

Just an update: The set arrived today along with my aluminum mount for the gyro reposition, and it is indeed too large. It was very tough to judge the size on Tower's website since no dimensions were given. When I called about the return I mentioned they should include the dimensions in the description since it is difficult to tell from the pictures and description if it will work. I will most likely return this set and fabricate my own, or find a smaller set like the one posted above. It probably would work well for a .30 size heli but not the MX!

Would this work? I was wondering it for my Helimax MX400 Pro.
