hi... i got a new axe-cp a few weeks ago and it seems to be great...flys very well,,but ive had 2 swashplates come apart on it???anyone else with this problim????? other than that its a great heli,,,for the gyro,,,,this flys very well without it.........save your money for a bigger heli after you get good on this one,,,,it works fine with the stock one......the lipo battery is the way to go..i have a aplus 1350 20c and 35b 11.1v its about 60$ and is better than the one they recomend...the canopy fits tight but the extra power and flight time is worth it...there is a full flight test of this baby in the new rc-heli mag....and its all good........we bought a good heli guys...happy flying..

yeah, alot of people have that seperated swash problem... the solution is to get a new one that has not been popped apart and then be really careful and not crash... or alot of people go with the CNC aluminum swash for that reason

RE: helimax axe

just bought the axe cp mini ep. My friend who is experienced had his fisrt test with ever on this and he had no problem hovering with this heli. Said great power behind it. I on the other hand am a newbie, as new as they come. The battery life is a dissapintment. Could someone state the flight vs hover times with stock compared to upgrades. Also what is the best one to get without needing a new adapter, could I use the same charger. Also is there a charger available to support 4 or more batteries at one time? Please be specific enough on battery types so the hobby store would know what I need. Thanks and whata great forum, lots of info, good support group here.

:) Found this site tonight, very informative. We operate a Pilot Shop store at the Auburn Airport in Calif and sell these HeliMax AXE CP Helicopters. I decided to actually get one for myself and learn how to fly it. My RC experience consists of mainly fixed wing aircraft, this helicopter is all new to me. I have picked up a lot of information on this web site, mostly good reviews about this helicopter. Do any of you know of an RC group in my area that can further assist me, I am in the Sacramento area, just East of Sac.
This is a photo of the helicopters we work on. (not sure where the photo is going to be displayed!)
