Reverse servos
I'm very much a newbee to electric helicopers. I own 3 now. The frustrating thing is the manufacturers don't provide good
detailed manuals. I have a couple of Esky helicopters. My question is what does, and what do you do with the reverse servos on the transmitter. The ownners manual doesn't say anything about the reverse servos, except to make sure the reverse servo is in the normal position on the throttle before connecting the battery. Thanks for your help! |
RE: Reverse servos
Different models may use the servos mounted in different locations in the airframe thus needing it's direction of movement to be reversed . The throttle always works the same way . As long as the controls match your stick movements all is good ..

RE: Reverse servos
Are you referring to the tail servo? If so, the reason they tell you to put the rudder mid-stick is so the gyro can determine the receiver signal that represents the neutral position as the gyro powers up.

RE: Reverse servos
I guess what I'm asking is, on my Esky transmitter there are 4 switches on the bottom right hand corner.
labeled "Servo Reverser" 1)AIL 2)ELE 3)THR 4RUD I know what the switches labeled mean. But why would I change any of them to "reverse" instead of the "normal" mode? And if you don't change any of the swithces to "reverse" what are they there for. Why doesn't the owners manual say anything more about the switches than to have the throttle swith in normal mode when connecting the battery. Thanks much for your attention! |
RE: Reverse servos
if you hit left cyclic and your heli goes right is one cause where you would want to change it, if it was on the rol you would want to change the aleron, or channel 1, and if it was the yaw then you would want to change the rudder or channel 4
hopefully this is a FP heli, or these rules don't really apply as much. If the servo is rotating the wrong direction unless you have a computer radio they don't have a reverse swash mix and you would have to modify the servo's |
